HIGHLANDER EXPERIENCE INVERNESS
The Perfect Highland Evening
At our award winning 17th century farm only 10 minutes from central Inverness we pride ourselves on offering the best and most authentic Highland experience there is.
Highland Cattle in the fields and the sound of our piper waiting at the door. This is what will greet you as you join us for a night of music, song, history and great food where you take part in a true Highland Ceilidh
People learn where their ancestors come from, why the Highands are so important and where a forward thinking Scotland is going. We explain the importance of our Highland history and interspace those stories with some songs and tunes from the finest musicians in Scotland.
ABOUT US
Having worked with some of the bigest tour operators in the world there is a reason why they book year after year.
Our team are at the top of their profession and understand what makes a real evening of experience one that is never forgotten.
We know the events we create are the best the Highlands has to offer. Since 2014 we have hosted thousands of people at our family farm and we want them all to feel like they leave us with a little bit of the Highlands in their hearts.
GUEST EXPERIENCES
Our most popular night, The Highland Experience, is popular with all age groups.
All guests are welcomed to Bogbain by a Scottish Piper before receiving a glass of wine, whisky or a soft drink.
Guests will take a seat and from there they will learn about our history and culture. Our top class musicians will then sing
songs and play music incorporating the history of the Highlands of Scotland.
Dinner will be served in our Barn, followed by a performance by our world class
Highland dancers our dancers will then invite some of
the group up to learn a few steps.
Following the Highland Dancing there will be traditional Gaelic songs, and an
interactive opportunity to “Waulk the Tweed”, a traditional method of
stretching tweed by the women of the Gaelic communities and join in with singing a few lines of Gaelic song.
There is also the option to join one of the Worlds top class Highland Games athletes for a 'Toss the Caber' or 'Tug of war' or pit your strength with the 'Shot put'
We will teach the group a few of our traditional Scottish
Ceilidh dances. A chance to kick your heels up and let your hair down, whilst
we talk you through the steps of out dances.
We finish the evening with a rendition of Auld Lang Syne, where we join
together to wish our guests all the best for the rest of their trip.
We have additions to the night of Whisky Tasting, re-enactment and menu upgrades that can be included.
